Restart is the official charity of The Rugby Players Association (RPA). Formerly known as The RPA Benevolent Fund, Restart was founded in 2001 to support professional players forced to retire through illness or injury.
We provide financial and practical support to players and their families during difficult times, including help with the cost of medical treatment, rehabilitation equipment, counselling, education, and career transition. Restart is also there when players need emotional support in coming to terms with losing the game they love.
The CRF helped to fund several riders riding for the Restart Charity at Velo South. One of the riders was Charlie Hodgson who was also a guest speaker at one of our City Breakfasts.
